This animation was a tricky logistical dance of using as many assets that KDFOXX had as we could in our animations. She had a collection of voice acting sound bites for the characters, and various illustrations and sketches, for us to work with.
I poured over the material given, pared down the heart of the Animal Arithmetic story we wanted to advertise, and created the boards & animatic which we based the music video's flow from. We pushed an early 2000s "Toonami" vibe with VHS glitch vaporwave inspired aesthetics and transitions.

The team and I created our animations using a mix of puppet techniques, cutting up and animating KDFOXX's illustrations, and frame-by-frame hand drawn work. Backgrounds were created by editing together photo and video effects from stock websites.
